Overview
Mext is a precision feed-forward compressor, splitting the signal into three fully independent bands (Low, Mid and High), each with the same detector behavior and musical character, for engineers who need complete control across the low end, midrange and top without compromising musicality. Each band shows a live spectrum overlay behind its filter curve, so you can see exactly what you're compressing while you set it, with per-band Q and Shape sculpting how each crossover transitions into the next.
Sidechain EQ is tailored per band: a Low Cut on the Low band, a High Cut on the High band, to keep rumble and hiss out of the detector, and a dedicated SC toggle lets any band listen to an external source independently of the others. A dual-point crossover splits the signal with a soft, analog-inspired curve, and a single shared Soft Clip / Limiter stage (the THD Valve) sits at the very end of the chain as one unified signature stage, backed by real-time THD and high-resolution gain-reduction metering per band.
