Sabotage 76
Three bands. One FET weapon. Each band runs its own FET feedback compressor inspired by the topology and aggressive character of the legendary 1176. No exposed Threshold, just Input driving the detector directly, like the original hardware.

Overview
M76 Sabotage splits the signal into three independent bands (Low, Mid, High), each driven by its own FET feedback compressor inspired by the topology and aggressive character of the legendary 1176. There's no exposed Threshold on any band: the Input knob drives each detector directly, just like the original hardware. A radar-style X/Y pad sets Attack and Release in a single gesture, with more precision than two separate knobs.
Each band's detector sidechain is tailored to its role: a high-pass on Low, a true high-cut on High, and a clean, unfiltered detector on Mid, with both filters tracking the current crossover points in real time. Every band also carries its own permanent stereo Imager, widening or narrowing that band alone, always active alongside compression.
Ratios are 6 fixed steps from 2:1 to 20:1, metered by native gain-reduction VU needles per band plus master I/O metering and a built-in stereo vectorscope. A shared soft clip / limiter stage sits at the output.
Inside the plugin
No threshold. Just input.
Feedback FET detection
Three bands, each its own 1176-inspired FET feedback compressor. Input drives the detector directly, no Threshold knob.
Attack/Release radar pad
Set both parameters in a single gesture on an X/Y pad, more precise than two separate knobs.
Adaptive per-band sidechain
High-pass on Low, true high-cut on High, clean detector on Mid, all tracking the live crossover points.
Per-band stereo imager
Permanently active widening/narrowing on each band, independent of compression.
6 fixed ratios, 2:1–20:1
Relative Link In/Out for ganged trim, plus per-band Solo for auditioning.
Full metering
Native gain-reduction VU per band, master I/O metering, and a built-in stereo vectorscope.
Questions
FAQ
Is Sabotage 76 the same as M76 Sabotage?
Yes, Sabotage 76 and M76 Sabotage refer to the same plugin.
What kind of compressor is Sabotage 76?
It's a 3-band FET feedback compressor inspired by the 1176: six fixed ratios from 2:1 to 20:1, no exposed Threshold, and a radar-style pad that sets Attack and Release together in one gesture.
Does it have sidechain filtering?
Each band's detector sidechain is tailored to its role: a high-pass on Low, a true high-cut on High, and a clean, unfiltered detector on Mid, with both filters tracking the crossover points in real time.
How does licensing and activation work?
